Busy school day

We had a busy school day today, with Rowanne's class having a brass concert this afternoon, then she had chess club after school. The brass concert was a big success with the whole class playing "Mary had a little lamb" and "Twinkle twinkle little star" on trumpets and baritones. They were confident and the tune was recognisable too. Quite an achievement after only a handful of lessons!

Lily was busy too as she went into school early in the morning for netball practice, then had a netball match after school. Lily was brave when accidentally knocked over during the match and was whisked off to the first aid room for a plaster returning to play immediately. Lily enjoys netball very much, she only began netball club a week ago and this was her first match and her team won too, which was very encouraging for her.

Alfie is coping well with full time school now but he had a power nap between finishing school and Lily's netball match. We are so pleased he is enjoying school thoroughly and announces his arrival to class every morning with a big smile and says loudly "Hello everybody look its me! It's me again!" (in the manner that everyone is going to be terribly pleased and grateful that he has graced them all with his presence once more)...and they probably are too because he has quite a following of friends keen to give him a hug each morning!
