Alfie is feeling much better today. He is off the pain killers now, although his upper body still has some way to in before it is healed. He loves this toy car!
We were using the kelly kettle base for the bbq. I don't recommend this though, ours has melted a bit and is now misshapen!
Alfie and I looking across to the Isle of Wight.
Roro at Stokes Bay this afternoon.
Alfie likes to tickle his face with my hair!
Poor Alfie hasn't had too much sleep this week due to a nasty bout of the chicken pox complicated by a staphylococcus areus infection causing scalded skin syndrome. It's going to be about a month before his skin heals completely.
Today the kids had homemade pea and ham soup followed by berries for lunch.
Found a charity shop that had vintage knitting patterns and needles for sale. All 10p each.
Gabi, wet through.
There is a rabbit in this photo. Can you spot it?

Alfie and i on castle walk Richmond at lunchtime today.
We spotted this fellow (center pic, white T ) unicycling on the pavement as we headed home!
Today we met up with my nephew Will. It was good to see him as we don't often now he lives in Norway. Later Gabi and i walked to Richmond station while Joy took the girls in her little car. We spent some time at the river and walked home again. I managed to wrangle Alfie into his sling (austrian Easycare wrap "sol") with Gabi's help!
Traditionally one is not supposed to peek through their fingers and follow the hider when playing this game!
Climbing on the walls is not allowed.
What is down the well? Some water, ferns and no doubt a spider or two. The wells at this castle are very deep.
Alfie enjoying a biscuit and taking in the views.
Having a juice and biscuit while filling in their work sheets about the castle.
In the middle behind the church, is a large brick building. This is the Kings Head Hotel, where my husband and i met. In the church is a museum for the Green Howard's regiment. My grandfathers medals are on display here.
Climbing up the stairs inside the keep is a great workout for bums and legs! There are some great views too.
This is the view over Robin Hood's tower towards the gardens. Richmond castle was built in 1100.
We went to richmond castle today. The weather was better today as you can see. Recently there has been a lot of cool and wet weather.
